Dollywood: The Heart of Pigeon Forge Adventure

Dollywood is in Pigeon Forge, close to several key cities. It’s about 45 minutes from Knoxville, 20 minutes from Gatlinburg, and 40 minutes from Townsend. Nashville is around 3.5 hours away, and Chattanooga is about 2.5 hours away. So, this makes Dollywood easy to visit for a fun-filled adventure! Also, a plus is that you’ll get to enjoy the beautiful Smoky Mountains along the way.

Dollywood Theme Park offers daily and multi-day tickets, plus season passes for year-round fun!    

  • 1 , 2 , and 3 Day Tickets: Available for purchase HERE. These tickets offer flexible use withing 5 days.
  • Season Passes:
    • Silver Season Pass: Enjoy unlimited visits to Dollywood with the Silver pass. While parking isn’t included, you get one “Bring a Friend” ticket with blackout dates to share the fun.
    • Gold Season Pass: Experience the ultimate Dollywood adventure with the Gold pass, offering unlimited access throughout the season. Also, enjoy free general parking and receive a 15% discount on selected food and dining options.
    • The 2024 FREE Pre-K Imagination Season Pass gives kids born in 2019 or 2020 free fun at Dollywood all year.
  • Group Bookings:
    • General Groups of 15 or more people enjoy discounted pricing, Additional perks for reservations made 2 weeks prior to visiting.
    • Educational Group pricing is available for student groups of more than 15, and meal voucher is included if visiting on a weekday.
    • Corporate Group Event pricing for groups of 100 or more, tailoring events like company picnics or meetings to suit your needs.
    • Tour & Travel pricing available to qualified professional tour operators with a minimum of 15 paying passengers required, traveling by motorcoach.
    • Homeschool rates are offered for Homeschool families. Reservations must be made at least 72 hours in advance. Call to make reservations 888-428-6789.

Parking Options

At Dollywood, trams offer rides from parking lots to the ticket area and main entrance. Additionally, a walking path is provided for those who prefer to walk.

  • As you plan your day at Dollywood, note that standard parking for all regular-sized vehicles is $25, while oversize vehicles like RVs and trailers are charged $30.
  • However, if you have a Dollywood Gold Pass, parking is free. Please note that the initial parking fee is non-refundable for Gold season passholders, and free parking applies for visits after Gold season passes are purchased.
  • Additionally, complimentary transportation to the front gate is provided via parking lot trams from designated tram stops (Dollywood theme park only). Check the website for optional preferred parking as you plan your amazing day at Dollywood Theme Park.
  • Visitors displaying an Accessible Parking Permit at the Toll Booths will be directed to ADA Accessible Parking in Lot A/B. Van accessible spaces are also provided. Parking operates on a first-come, first-served basis and may fill up quickly on certain days.
  • Extra ADA accessible spaces are found near Lot A/B and Lot D Dollywood Tram Stop. Guests can also use the Guest Drop-off/Pick-up areas at the Transportation Hub and Groups/Preferred Parking Entrance for convenient drop-offs and pickups.

There’s nothing quite like the sound of a steam engine. One of my all-time favorites at Dollywood is the Dollywood Express, which takes you on a five-mile journey on an authentic steam engine train.

Barnstormer Ride

I love the Barnstormer ride at Dollywood. It takes you high in the air—so much fun! When the line is short, I like to ride it several times in a row. Definitely one of my favorites.

So, I must admit that I love riding roller coasters too… how about you? Whether you’re seeking thrilling rides or looking for something that doesn’t go fast and upside down, Dollywood has it all. And on those hot summer days, the water rides are perfect for cooling off. Everyone can find their perfect match, including great options for your little ones.

  • Looking for a thrilling adventure high in the sky? Take a ride on Dollywood’s Wild Eagle or Thunderhead, the wooden roller coaster.
  • Need to cool off on a hot day? Hop on Dollywood’s Smoky Mountain River Rampage or Daredevil Falls.
  • There are also many great rides for your Little Trekkers, like the Black Bear Trail or Frogs and Fireflies ride.
