Smoky Mountain Sunset

No ratings yet
A peachy Tennessee sipper that fades from gold to red like a Smokies sunset. Sweet, fruity, and easy to pour for a crowd.

Ingredients

  • 1.5 oz Ole Smoky Peach Whiskey Or any peach whiskey
  • 1 oz peach schnapps
  • 2 oz orange juice Fresh if you've got it
  • grenadine A splash — about ½ oz
  • 1 orange slice For garnish
  • 1 cherry For garnish

Equipment

  • 1 Highball or rocks glass

Method

  1. Fill a glass with ice and add the peach whiskey, peach schnapps, and orange juice.
  2. Stir gently to combine.
  3. Slowly pour the grenadine down the inside of the glass — let it settle to the bottom for the sunset fade. Don't stir after.
  4. Garnish with an orange slice and a cherry.

Notes

The grenadine is what makes this a sunset instead of just a peach drink. Pour it last, pour it slow, and let it sink — stirring blends the color right out.
No peach whiskey? Peach schnapps alone carries it, just add another half ounce. It'll be sweeter.
