The rooftop is where Hotel Indigo really stands apart. The seasonal heated infinity pool overlooks Gatlinburg, with the Smoky Mountains surrounding the view. There’s space to swim, grab a lounge chair, or simply spend some time outside.
The outdoor terrace adds even more room to enjoy the rooftop. In the evening, it becomes a great spot for a drink while the lights of Gatlinburg come on below.
You’ll also find a fitness center with cardio equipment and free weights. But for me, the rooftop is the feature that makes this hotel memorable.
Things to Do Nearby
There’s plenty to do without going far from Hotel Indigo. Spend a few hours at Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies, ride up to Gatlinburg SkyPark for the views, or wander the Parkway and see where the day takes you. The Gatlinburg trolley also stops nearby, making it easy to leave the car parked.
Great Smoky Mountains National Park is just a short drive away. Head into the mountains for a morning hike, explore Cades Cove, or take one of the scenic drives through the park. Then come back to Gatlinburg for dinner and an evening around town.
