This colorful layered red, white, and blue drink is an easy, kid-friendly recipe that's perfect for Fourth of July parties, backyard barbecues, and family celebrations.
Servings: 4

Ingredients

  • 2 cups 2 cups cranberry juice, chilled
  • 2 cups lemon-lime soda, chilled
  • 2 cups blue sports drink or blue raspberry lemonade, chilled
  • 4 cups ice
  • Whipped cream (optional)
  • 4 fresh strawberries, for garnish (optional)

Method

  1. Fill four clear cups or mason jars about halfway with ice.
  2. Pour ½ cup cranberry juice into each cup.
  3. Slowly add ½ cup lemon-lime soda to each cup.
  4. To create the blue layer, slowly pour ½ cup blue sports drink or blue raspberry lemonade over the back of a long spoon. Pour gently to help keep the layers separate.
  5. Top with whipped cream, if desired, then garnish with a fresh strawberry, a festive paper straw, and a mini American flag.
  6. Serve immediately and enjoy your patriotic creation! 🇺🇸

Notes

  • We love using pellet ice (you may know it as Sonic® ice). It keeps these festive drinks extra cold and makes every sip even more refreshing.
  • For the best red, white, and blue layers, chill all of your ingredients before assembling the drinks.
  • Pour the final blue layer slowly over the back of a spoon to help keep the colors separated.
  • Want to make it extra festive? Add a patriotic paper straw and a mini American flag just before serving.
